Nantes Métropole Développement is an operational tool for companies, created and funded by the Nantes urban community.
The agency also works with the Saint Nazaire urban area, the Loire Atlantique department, the Nantes Chamber of Commerce, the Chambre des Métiers de Loire Atlantique and around ten companies in the region.
Its services to businesses are ISO 9001 certified.

"We set up in Nantes to help Airbus develop the A380. Nantes Métropole and its economic development agency helped us find a site near the Airbus factory to optimise the supply chain in the manufacture of carbon sheeting for composite parts.
At the site we chose, which covers 10 000 m2 of land in Bouguenais, we are currently building our 3500 m² premises. To begin with it will house 10 to 15 people, but staff levels will rise with the new A350 programme. The first products will be delivered at the start of 2008."
